Why Kraemer Yarns?
Kraemer Yarns has been spinning yarn in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, for over a century.
Many years ago, when I owned a tiny yarn shop called The Glitter Ninja in upstate New York, Kraemer was the tried and true staple yarn that I stocked in the shop. I loved the mill’s history and its proximity to the shop. How often do you get to say that you could drive to the place where your yarn is being spun?!
Since then, I have relied on Kraemer Yarns whenever I am working on a project that needs to stand up to multiple wearings and frequent washing.
Since I’m about to have a HUGE sale on Kraemer Yarns, I’m sharing some project inspiration with you!

Aviatrix Hat by Justine Turner
This cutie takes less than one skein to knit up!
Baby Surprise Jacket by Elizabeth Zimmerman
This near-legendary garment was released in 1968 and has been knit well over 30,000 times since. Knit it all in one color, use Elizabeth’s wonderful descriptions and suggestions to add stripes, or use up scrap yarn with accents of color.
Gemini by Jane Richmond
This reversible knit tee works up quickly at a loose gauge to provide a beautiful drape.
Let’s Go Shopping Market Bag by AvaAdore
Can you ever have too many bags?? Of course not.
This pattern works best in a fiber blend that contains cotton, linen, hemp.
Perfect for Tatamy or Tatamy Tweed!
Mauch Chunky
Mauch Chunky is one of my favorite yarns EVER! It doesn’t get nearly the hype it deserves. The color range is large, the blends are gorgeous, the wool works up beautifully, is perfect for felting projects, and is affordable to boot.

Felted Clogs by Bev Galeskas
I made these slippers almost ten years ago and still wear them regularly! They’re comfy and warm my feet on cold mornings in the van.
The pattern calls for worsted weight yarn held double, but I knit mine with a single strand of Mauch Chunky. The Ladies Small used about two skeins of yarn total; .8 skeins of contrast and 1.2 skeins of the main color.
Bandana Cowl by Purl Soho
This beauty takes just over a skein of Mauch Chunky. Mix it up by grabbing two fun colors and knitting the two-color option. Check the pattern page for more pictures.
Lucy Bag by Katie Nagorney and Ann Swanson
