Who else is ready for Knitmas at the beach??
For the first time ever, we have an official pattern and kits for the Knitmas in July Knit-Along!
If you're new to Nomadic Knits, our annual Twelve Days of Knitmas MKAL, held each December, is a festive knitting experience like no other. We're doubling down on the Knitmas experience by offering a summertime version - Knitmas in July - and inviting you to join us for a sunny monthĀ of knitting joy, inspiration, and encouragement!
While the heart of the Knitmas in July KAL is the same as OG Knitmas, the format is slightly different. This KAL isn't a mystery; you can relax and soak up the fun at your own pace. We'll have the entire month of July to knit together!
InĀ past years, we'veĀ hosted different variations of the Knitmas in July KAL, including a FAL (Finish-Along) for lingering Twelve Days of Knitmas WIPs (Works in Progress). I love the FAL tradition, so let's keep it alive! Dig out those Knitmas WIPs - because we're doing both. We're going to Knit-Along and Finish-Along togetherĀ because that's what Knitmas is all about.š
TL;DR Join us as we knit together and celebrate our craft for the entire month of July! The official Knitmas in July pattern is available here.Ā You can also participate in Knitmas in July by finishing up (or knitting from scratch) any past Twelve Days of Knitmas patterns.

Who is Knitmas in July for?Do you love knitting? Could you use a little inspiration or boost in your knitting mojo? Do you enjoy hanging out with other knitters in a fun, encouraging environment? If you answered yes to any of these questions, Knitmas in July is for YOU!
Ā
What are we knitting? Our inauguralĀ Knitmas in July KALĀ pattern (not included in the kit) is an asymmetrical shawl designed to be the perfect summer knit!
When it comes to summer knitting, I have a pretty specific list of pattern requirements. It must be portable, light, and simple enough to work on at family get-togethers, beach days, and road trips. With that in mind, IĀ made sure the Knitmas in July KAL pattern is everything I look for in a summer knit:
- Simple stitches
- Easy to memorize
- Light, drapey yarn
- Portable
- JustĀ the right amount of pizazz to make it a stunner and keep you knitting row after row
If those things sound appealing to you, you'll love this KAL!
