Join us for Knitmas in July!

One of our favorite things every year is getting to celebrate the Twelve Days of Knitmas with all of you, and we just couldn’t wait for December to do it again! 

For the month of July, we’ll be doing all things Knitmas. All of our Twelve Days of Knitmas MKAL designs from the past three years are included, and hopefully you’ll find one that you love. We’ve put all three knitting patterns on sale for 50% off in celebration, no coupon needed!

Shawls of Knitmas Past

2019

2019 was our first Twelve Days of Knitmas. Nomadic Knits was brand new, and we didn’t know if we’d have many knitters, or any at all. By the second day, we were overwhelmed with gratitude for all of you who jumped right in with us. There were some bumps along the way that first year, with some emergency early-morning re-writes of clues, and we truly appreciated all of your kindness and enthusiasm.

2020

For our second year of Knitmas, we upped our game a little and designed the shawl to be a reflection of the past year; each stitch pattern included in the shawl is from a knitting design featured in a Nomadic Knits pattern during 2020. The Knitmasers in our Facebook group were unbelievably kind and supportive of one another, and we were grateful to be part of something wonderful to close out 2020.

2021

Our most recent Knitmas was my favorite! With two size options, a scarf and a behemoth shawl, more knitters were able to join in the fun and many even finished in the first twelve days.

What is Knitmas?

The Twelve Days of Knitmas is our fun annual after-Christmas mystery knit-along (MKAL). Knitters receive one “clue” every day for twelve days, starting on December 26th, with directions from cast-on to bind-off (and weaving in ends and blocking, of course). Each year, Knitmas has grown a little bigger – not just in the number of knitters; the shawl seems to get larger each year, too! Watch our newsletter and social media for Twelve Days of Knitmas 2022 – we usually get the ball rolling in early December.
